KUCHING CITY TOUR
Kuching meaning “Cat” the gateway to Sarawak was declared city status in 1988. A half day city tour will lead you to discover the historical heritage and the beauty of the city. The tour will include : Museums - Sarawak Museum and Cat Museum; Statues - “Giant Cat Statue” and Heroes’ Monuments; Houses of Worship – Mosque with 5 golden dooms, Oldest Chinese Temple and a unique designed Catholic Church; Streets and Buildings - China Town, Old Main Bazaars and Old Colonial Buildings ; Esplanade & Gardens – Kuching Waterfront and Heroes Memorial Park; Craft Centers – Sarawak’s Pottery Factory, Bird’s Nest Processing Factory and Sarawak Craft Pavilion.

Sarawak Cultural Village
About 45 minutes drive from the city, is a living museum showcase Sarawak’s unique and diverse cultures. Displaying replicas of Sarawak’s ethnic traditional houses: Chinese farm house; Malay stilted house; Melanau tall house, Penan hut; Longhouse of the Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu. Experience the warm hospitality f the people. Try some delicacies. A 45 minutes cultural dance will be performed at the theatre at the end of the tour.

Semenggoh Orang Utan
About 1 hour drive from the city. This is where Orang Utans are rehabilitated and eventually let to live freely in their natural surroundings. Get the glimpse of the animals during feeding times.

ITINERARY

Day 1- KUCHING City Tour

Upon arrival, meet at Kuching International Airport. Then proceed for a tour of Kuching City. Ending at the spectacular Kuching Waterfront where most of the pre-colonial buildings are situated. Check-in at the hotel.

Day 2- Sarawak Cultural Village / Orang Utan (B/L)
Pick-up up from the hotel and drive for 45 minutes from the city. Visiting showcasing Sarawak’s unique and diverse cultures, replicas of Sarawak’s ethnic traditional houses, Longhouse . Experience the warm hospitality of the indigenous tribes. Try savoring some local delicacies. The tour ends with a 45 minutes cultural performance in the theatre. After lunch drive for about 60 minutes to visit Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, home to the totally protected Orang Utan (known as the “Wild-men of Borneo”). And en-route visit to the famous Sarawak’s Pottery Factory, famous for its intricate native designed vases and other handicraft items. Dinner at local restaurant.

Free at own leisure until pick up time for transfer to the airport to catch your onwards flight.
